A Study of Difference in the Economic Education in the High Schools

Abstract
This paper studies the existence and the cause of difference in the high school economic education. The main results are the followings: First, as in 2019,27.4% of the high schools provide the economics subject. Second, the marginal effect on the probability of the provision of the subject is biggest for the existence of the teachers who can teach economics. Third, the probability of the provision of the economics is significantly different depending on the area the school is located in, the size of the school, the household income level of the area, and the gender composition of the school.
